Firmware

Your current camera firmware version will let us know which generation of camera you are using, and enable us to let you know if an upgrade is available. To find out which firmware your camera is currently using, login to your camera (via Y-cam Setup program or by going to its IP address in your browser), select Settings, then System, and look for the number after Firmware Version.

IMPORTANT NOTE - Upgrading your cameras firmware will restore the camera back to default settings. It is recommended you note down the settings you currently have before proceeding with an upgrade.

Y-cam Classic - 1st Generation
If your camera has a firmware version of 1.33 or lower, then you have a 1st Generation Y-cam - Click here for 1st Generation firmwares

Y-cam Classic - 2nd Generation
If your camera has a firmware version between 1.98 and 3.9X, you have a 2nd Generation Y-cam - Click here for 2nd Generation firmwares

Y-cam SD Range
If your camera has a microSD slot on its underneath, you have one of the Y-cam SD range. Your firmware version will be 4 and up - Y-cam SD range firmware

Note: there were some models of Y-cam SD that had firmware version 3.25 and 3.30 installed when first shipped. You are urged to update to a version 4 firmware as soon as possible to take full advantage of your SD functionality.

Y-cam Bullet
Bullet range updates are only suitable for our Bullet-style cameras - Y-cam Bullet firmwares

WARNING - trying to load the wrong generation of firmware on to your camera can damage its operation. Only ever update the firmware suitable for your cameras generation.

Y-cam Setup Software - Version 1.4
This automatically finds your Y-cam on your network. Works on all Windows systems from Windows 98 upwards (including XP, Vista and Windows 7).
Available to install in English, French, German, Italian, Spanish and Dutch.
