View and Hear from anywhere with MultiLive for iPhone

Posted on Thursday, May 26th, 2011

We know that this update has been on many of our customers wish lists for a while, which is why we are thrilled to be able to launch our updated MultiLive for iPhone, available to download, now with audio.

New Features:

- iOS4 Compatible
- Inclusion of audio support for iOS 4+
(requires camera admin password)
- Advanced camera control including Alarm and Infrared Night Vision functionality (requires camera admin password)
- Ability to refresh images on thumbnail screen
- Enhanced screen orientation

- Technical Support via app

This update to our hugely popular app, MultiLive for iPhone, now allows Y-cam customers to not only view their Y-cam’s footage but hear in real time, direct via their iPhone from anywhere in the world.

However, the good news doesn’t stop there as this update also enables users to have more control of their camera on the go, including arming and disarming alarms; the ability to refresh the stream right from the thumbnail screen; gain instant access to the camera’s footage with the app’s improved access, and take full advantage of the more intuitive screen with the improved screen orientation.

Can’t wait? Don’t panic! You can download the app via visiting iTunes now.

MultiLIve for iPhone Update

After our current update for MultiLive for iPhone we received reported issues from our customers regarding the apps audio feature. This problem has occurred because of minor updates released by Apple which have changed their audio support and therefore directly affected our app. Our development team have been working to resolve this and have produced an article, found on our knowledge base, which provides, most users, the setting required for audio, however unfortunately this doesn’t apply to those utilizing the minor updates after V4.3 (4.3.1, 4.3.2 and 4.3.3). We are still working to fix the problem for these customers.

For a ‘step by step’ guide how to receiving audio via your MultiLive for iPhone app please visit our Knowledge base. We would also like to take this opportunity to apologies and thank all our customers for all their support and we hope that we can resolve this problem for all customers quickly.

Please note: MultiLive for iPhone does not support 1st Generation Y-cams (discontinued 2008 – firmware v1.98 or lower) as these cameras do not support MJPEG streaming.

Do you read the comments on the iTunes page? If those are true, then it is some kind of beta version…

Hi, Thank you for your comment, this release is not a beta test, however since we tested the app Apple has released 3 more minor updates, altering their audio support which is why some customers (who are using these updates) are having problems with the audio. Our development team are working really hard to identify all the issues and fix the bugs and I hope we will be able to release an update soon. Thank you again for your time and I hope we can fix this asap.

The resolution, and sound together are terrible.
