Y-cam and Synology battle it out at Insomnia 40

Insomnia 40, the UK’s biggest gaming event, takes place this weekend at Newbury Racecourse. Featuring world class tournaments, social gaming and a technology exhibition, if you’ve not purchased your tickets yet, you’re going to want to.
Multiplay I-Series Insomnia 40 is the scorching summer LAN Party where over 2000 gamers are going to get together to battle it out on screen, and off, for some amazing prizes and opportunities to see and sample some innovative new products.
Amongst these is Synology who will be demoing for the first time their brand new NAS interface, DiskStation Manager 3.0 (DSM 3.0) a “multi-tasking web UI and personalized web desktop that make Synology NAS server even more intuitive and easy to use”.
Visitors will be able to explore the new operating system, test out the enriched iPhone and Android phone apps; the new DS photo+, DS audio and DS cam, plus the chance see the upgraded Surveillance Station 5 in action with a selection of our very own Y-cam cameras, including our latest release the Y-cam Bullet. And if that’s not enough to entice you, they will also be running a competition where you could win your very own Synology DS1010+!
Y-cam IP cameras are the perfect addition for users of Synology NAS/NVR drives, and now with the beta release of DSM 3.0 and the upgraded Surveillance Station 5, there has never been a better time to use Synology and Y-cam together.
Version 5 of Surveillance Station now lets users view up to 36 Y-cam cameras in one layout – locally or remotely – ideal for those people who always need to be part of the action. Also new is the multi-event player, which allows users to playback multiple channels in a synchronized or individually sequential manner. Time Slicing is another new feature that displays event playback in a quarter of the time it usually takes.
