Nature cam – Check out the critters in your garden
Posted on Friday, August 5th, 2011
Who says there is no nature in London? Well we have the power to prove them wrong thanks to one of our wonderful customers who kindly contacted us with a link to his video ‘The Lawn – Natural History Montage From an Inner London Garden’.

The video shows a number of different creatures popping up on his Y-cam Bullet camera which he positioned in his garden, in daylight and at night time using the cameras infrared night vision, including an inquisitive fox, a naughty squirrel chasing a pigeon and plenty of other wildlife.
This is not the first contact we have had from customers who are utilising our cameras to monitor nature this way – from videos, images and customer emails, a number of users are checking out gardens, allotments and even the weather with their Y-cam cameras. An IP camera is a great way to watch the world around you, with high-quality images and simple recording methods, it’s easy to access a world that is undisturbed by humans, day and night.

In addition to our London garden, another customer, Geek in a Field, saw potential to document their surroundings. They have been observing their field over the past two years and they have captured some amazing scenic shots which they share via their Flickr account.
To view these wonderful images, head on over to geekinafield.blogspot.com or their Flickr account. On the other hand why not set up your own nature cam – you’ll be amazed at what you’ll discover in your own garden.
