Caught on Camera

Many of our customers purchase an IP camera to fill a specific need; one example being to provide security for their business. Occasionally the appearance of a security camera works as a deterrent to prevent crime, but when a criminal feels they are above the law and invisible to security cameras the Y-cam proves it’s worth by capturing them in action.
This was proven recently in Slovakia where a thief thought he would try his luck at the drugstore store, TETA, stealing Prada perfume and trainers worth over 100 Euros. Little did he know he had just been caught in the act by 1 of 10 Y-cam White YCW002 cameras. The cameras were installed by Europe Electronics – one of our premier Y-cam specialists in Slovakia.
You never know when you will need this level of security within your business but this is a prime example of how IP cameras are beneficial to small business, by providing the ability to live stream and record high quality video, view your camera via the internet from anywhere in the world and be updated on motion once you have left your premises.
In this case the criminal was identified, caught and prosecuted, all with assistance of the Y-cam. This was a huge success story for the store and Y-cam. The footage was published in a newspaper and broadcast on a national news programme on 13th August 2010.
