KitGuru bring something new to the technology journalism arena so when they agreed to test out our Y-cam & Synology Grasshopper bundle we were over the moon, and maybe a bit nervous – No need thought as they loved the concept and saw it ideal for home or small business security.
We knew that KitGuru had experience with internet based cameras and found some of them rather tricky to install. However, Allan, Mr.KitGuru, thought that the “Y-cam models pair up perfectly with the Synology NAS,” there was no faffing around and the solution was “ready to go right out of the box.”
Kindly listing all the pros of the union as “cost effective, software implementation is bullet proof, NAS is quiet and runs cool” and great that “additional Y-cams can be bought”
Finally, summing up that this is “a great bundle for a user requiring low cost security options to protect a property” and awarded us with their Worth Buying Award – great day all round for Y-cam and Synology.

Y-cam EyeBall is essential for small business security

Retail Focus, renowned retail magazine offering the latest updates, products and services for the retail industry, have noted our latest product, the EyeBall, as an essential product for small business security.
Retail Focus loved our ‘aesthetically pleasing’ versatile camera which they noted was designed especially for business with its ‘discrete palm-size’ stature that is ideal for either wall or ceiling installations.
And of course its uniqueness did not go unmissed as, unlike many other mini-dome cameras, our EyeBall not only connects to businesses computer networks through ethernet but also Wi-Fi and can be remotely accessed “using any internet-connected computer or smartphone” from anywhere.
